The Guci waterfall is situated in Guci Village of Central Java Province. Domestic and international tourists often visit there to spend their vacations.

Shamans usually go to the waterfall to achieve supernatural power and the water can heal many kinds of skin diseases. It is also believed that bathing under the waterfall is able to improve female sex appeal. That’s why ladies are more than men in this area.

Besides, the waterfall is also the sacred place for fortune hunters. It is believed that a stealth monster dragon hides at the bottom of the waterfall lake.

Though it’s easy to pray for riches in this sacred place, the monster dragon will take the life of one of the family members of the prayer for sacrifice.

The key master can help anyone send his or her request to the monster dragon through a mystical ritual. The ritual should be held on the night of Jumát Legi and Selasa Kliwon of the Javanese calendar.

The prayer should prepare the ritual offerings, such as flowers, incense, perfume, nasi tumpeng (a cone-shaped rice dish with side dishes of vegetables and meat).

After all are prepared, the ritual begins. If the water in the nasi tumpeng starts bubbling, it is the sign of the monster dragon’s presence and the key master will fall into a deep trance.

Later, the prayer should go to the waterfall lake to take a bath. A lot of tour guides are going to offer their services to the money hunters. The fortune hunters just need to pay the guides some money and ask them out for a dinner afterwards.
